View From Above: Watercolor Quilt

This was my first (and only) round Watercolor quilt.  It was very difficult to finish because of its shape.  But I had a vision of a view out the window of a spaceship and everyone knows spaceship windows are round.  So I had to do it in the round.  I have always loved the night sky and astronomy, so I looked for ways to use these atypical types of fabrics in a quilt.  Using the star fabrics with batiks and the placement of the fabric helped to create movement in the quilt.  The light source is the Earth in the foreground, of course.   This quilt is sold.
