Sangamon River in Winter: Limited Edition Giclée Print of Watercolor Painting on Acid Free Art Paper.

The watecolor of which this limited edition Giclée print was made of the partially frozen Sangamon River, in Central Illinois, rimmed in ice, shows the stark contrast with the bare trees. The form that trees take in the winter, to me, is more interesting without their leaves.  I like the infinite variability of the tracery of the limbs. Winters in Illinois are often bleak, but a sunny afternoon can be a good time for a hike in the woods. 

The original watercolor is part of the artist's private collection.
