Baobab Trees of Africa: A Framed Original Acrylic Painting on 300 lb Watercolor Paper   

These Baobab Trees in this original acrylic painting live for hundreds of years, in part because they are not susceptible to the stripping of their bark by elephants which kills ordinary trees. They only have leaves for short periods of time during the wet season, conserving their energy. Trunks of the Baobab rival the giant redwooods of California in girth, often growing to 20 feet or more in diameter.These trees are growing on the edge of the desert where they get very little water.
