Full Size Image Paxton City Hall: Limited Edition Giclée Print of a Watercolor Painting
This limited edition Giclée print of the original watercolor depicts the small town of Paxton in Central Illinois along the old Illinois Central Rail Road. I was struck by the beautiful, brick water tower which is unique to the central Illinois area. This tower, in a small town of predominantly low buildings, really stands out. The cupola in the background sits above the city hall. The storm clouds were an invention to dramatize the architecture and is typical of the type of storms that often sweep across the prairie.
The original is in the artist's collection.
