1.5 inch Dichroic Fluke Shaped Pendant set in Sterling,  Onyx Beads, Glass Beads, Fresh water pearls, Sterling Fittings, Sterling Hook Clasp 

 

 I couldn't resist this pendant .  In addition to having glistening swirls of lime, gold and copper, it reminded me of the fluke of a whale.  The pendant's black background is reflected in the beads used to make the chain.  As I cradled the pendant in my hand, beads in complimentary colors fairly flew off the shelves at me.  I did not want the chain to overpower the beauty of the pendant so I clustered those colors on either side of it. 

I test drove this necklace to a meeting to see if anyone noticed it.  Two colleagues stopped mid-sentence to admire it.  The design works.

Victoria Falls - Part 1
Fresh from our Blue Train adventure from Cape Town to Pretoria, the next day we headed for the airport and our flight to the town of Livingston, Zambia, where we would stay at the Royal Livingston Hotel, adjacent to Victoria Falls. The flight was perfect in every way except for the spoiled, screaming child who tortured forty adults for two hours.
