	Length 27 inches Hand Crafted 3 Inch Drop, Hand Enameled Cloisonné Beads, Seed Bead Chain, 14K Gold filled Fittings, Amber & Carnelian Accents, Ornamental Vermeil Clasp, Matching G.F. Earrings. I love a beautiful clasp, and this vermeil toggle deserves to be seen so I made it a focal point of the necklace. The red Cloissonné beads delight me. I have accented them with tiny Carnelians and an Amber bead. I added 14K gold filled corrigated beads and then saw the box of golden seed beads. The color was perfect, but seed beads are so small. I decided on multiple strands of the golden beads, and then tried braiding them. It was one of those times when you wish you had four arms and you have to concentrate. The number of beads on each strand must be the same. I may never make it to Heaven. No doubt I offended all deities, but I do love the result. Sometimes matching earrings are too much, but in this case, I thought they would add to the dazzling effect of the necklace.

Africa 2002 Part 3

After we were settled comfortably in Sandton, in the north suburbs of Johannesburg, and with Peggy working long hours at the bank, I fell into a routine. I was the house husband doing the cooking and shopping, and painting on the patio until mid-afternoon. I usually went to the gym around 3:00 PM where I worked out for an hour. Then I would pick up Peggy and go home to prepare dinner. Following this routine I painted the 16 acrylics shown on this website over a period of ten months. At that time I had no ambitions of selling my works in galleries or on the Internet. I had never painted with acrylics before and was just interested in learning the medium.
