The handmade golden glass pipe beads were discovered by my husband.  They are fascinating, but tricky.  When I laid them out, I realized they were many different lengths so they had to be carefully matched to make a classically styled necklace.  I decided to stay with the golden and tawny colors and accented them with black onyx.  Somehow it lacked the sparkle and sauciness I wanted.  When I added the little beveled gold glass beads with the metallic coating, the whole look took on new life.

The first day at the Royal Livingston Hotel on the banks of the Zambezi River above Victoria Falls, we took a pontoon boat ride up the Zambezi River to see what sights the river had to offer from the water.
